K9Mysteries.com was originally conceived as a site dedicated to providing reading fans a list of good novels by as many K-9 mystery authors and their books as could be identified (‘good’ meaning exciting, well-conceived, and relatively clean, therefore, lacking gratuitous sex, profanity, and gore). They had to be good and they had to include dogs as a crucial part of the stories. Included were:
- dog mysteries,
- canine SAR (search and rescue) novels, and
- crime and police procedural novels that include dogs as integral to the stories.
Unfortunately, getting cooperation from other K-9 mystery authors proved impossible. Nobody was interested …except readers and fans of the genre. So, now, I’m just going to share books that I know fit my definition of ‘good’ as referenced above. How do I know they’re good? Because I write them. ← How’s that for self-assured? 😎
This site is owned and populated by D. L. Keur, herself an author of K9 mysteries. It is updated whenever she’s not writing the next novels of the Jessica Anderson K-9 Mysteries or the Midnight & King crime K-9 mystery series.
