K9Mysteries.com was originally conceived as a site dedicated to providing reading fans a list of good novels by as many K-9 mystery authors and their books as could be identified (‘good’ meaning exciting, well-conceived, and relatively clean, therefore, lacking gratuitous sex, profanity, and gore). They had to be good and they had to include dogs as a crucial part of the stories. Included were:
- dog mysteries,
- canine SAR (search and rescue) novels, and
- crime and police procedural novels that include dogs as integral to the stories.
Unfortunately, getting cooperation from other K-9 mystery authors proved impossible. Nobody was interested. So, now, it’s just me.
This site is owned and populated by D. L. Keur, herself an author of K9 mysteries. It is updated whenever she’s not writing the next novels of the Jessica Anderson K-9 Mysteries or the King & Midnight K-9 mystery series.
